Melody Ann Winter's Obituary
Melody Ann Winter, 59, died March 17, 2018, at her home. She was born June 24, 1958, in Ulysses, the daughter of Dwaine and Gay (Hatton) Newton.
Melody graduated from Nickerson High School in 1976 and attended Hutchinson Community College. She was co-owner of Winter Trucking.
On December 27, 2003, Melody married Mike Winter in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. He survives. Other survivors include: mother, Gay Newton of Hutchinson; children, Alaina Johnson (Garrett) of Oklahoma City, OK, Rachel Enns (Ray) of Inman, and Dalton Winter (Kylee) of Mt. Hope; brothers, Rick Newton (Shelly) and Kyle Newton (Tamra), all of Hutchinson; and two grandchildren, Hayden and Violet Enns of Inman. She was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, March 22, 2018, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Steve Hodgson officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Mount Hope. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, with the family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at Elliott Mortuary.
Memorial donations are suggested to Victory in the Valley, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
