Melvin H. Claphan Sr.'s Obituary
Melvin H. Claphan Sr., 85, of Hutchinson, died Oct. 11, 2011 at Pleasant View Home, Inman, Kan. He was born Oct. 26, 1925, the son of Dwight and Belle Claphan.
He was retired from the pest control business. He served in the Marine Corp during WWII.
He is survived by a son: Melvin Jon Claphan of Hutchinson. He was preceded in death by his wifem Wanda in 2001.
Private services will be held with burial in Blackwell, Okla. Memorials may be made to the Melvin Claphan Memorial Fund, in care of Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, Hutchinson.
