SOUTH HUTCHINSON - Meri Jane Brauer, 55, died Sept. 9, 2009, at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson.
She was born April 1, 1954, in Nickerson, the daughter of Richard and Luann Haxton Alexander.
She was a 1972 graduate of Nickerson High School. A resident of South Hutchinson, she was a pharmacy technician for Ashcraft Pharmacy in South Hutchinson.
She belonged to Mitchell Chapel United Methodist Church, the U.S.B.C. and a member of the former W.I.B.C. bowling association.
On March 16, 1974, she married George P. Brauer in Nickerson. He survives.
Other survivors include: daughters Kristi King and husband Lane, Longview, Texas, and Julie Brauer, Manhattan; her mother and stepfather, Luann and Jean Cammack, Hutchinson; her stepmother, Mary Alexander, Hutchinson; stepbrother, William Alexander, Hutchinson; and two grandchildren, Alex and Katelyn King. She was preceded in death by her father.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday Sept. 12, 2009, at Mitchell Chapel United Methodist Church with Pastor Nancy Proffitt presiding. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday with the family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
