Merle D. Gagnebin, 85, died Friday May 3, 2013. He was born at Abbyville, March 10, 1928, the son of George and Margie McRevey Gagnebin.

He was a 1946 graduate of Abbyville High School, an Army veteran, and attended Plevna Community Bible Church. Merle was a farmer, rancher and had been a school bus driver for USD #310 for over 20 years.

On March 31, 1953, he married Barbara Ann Dunn in Lyons. She survives. Also surviving are: a son, Rock and Toni, Hutchinson; a brother, Dale and Diane, Abbyville; and grandsons, Devin and Jarod, Hutchinson. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister and brother-in-law, Wilma June and James Ramsey.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor David E. Green officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial, with military honors by Ft. Riley Honor Guard, will be in Penwell Gabel Cemetary and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.
