Michael D. "Grim" Chancellor

Michael D. “Grim” Chancellor, 51, of Nickerson, died June 20, 2026, at Hospice House of Hutchinson. Grim was born on September 7, 1974, in Stockton, CA, to Martin Nicora and Darlene Chancellor.

He enjoyed gaming online, playing RuneScape for over 20 years as well as Assassins Creed Black Flag. Grim loved anything that had to do with pirates.

On December 8, 2016, Grim married Sally in her dad’s kitchen. She survives.

Survivors include his wife, Sally Chancellor; daughter, Vicky (Tony) DeBusk, Utah; grandchildren, Destiny and Devon DeBusk, both of Utah; father, Martin Nicora, CA; sisters, Pearl Rowland (Timothy), CA, and Sherrona Reed, Nickerson; brother, Jonathan Nicora, OR, CO; special nephew, Jaden Nicora; God Daughter, Dixie Reed; special mention, Shanon Greever, mentor and financial backing; and many other nieces and nephews.

Grim was preceded in death by his mother; and his fathers-in-law, Alan Maxwell and Loran Wood.

Cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time.
