Michael David "Mike" Richardson, 37, of Haven, died June 5, 2021, at his home. He was born August 20, 1983, in Hutchinson to David and Rhonda (Blocker) Richardson.

Mike graduated from Haven High School in 2002, and went on to earn his Associates of Fire Science from Hutchinson Community College. He worked in many different places, including time overseas as a civilian contractor for the United States Military. Mike fought forest fires as a hot shot firefighter in the North West and was also a general manager for Genesis personal trainers.  He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Haven.

Mike is survived by: daughter, Phoenix Sky Richardson; mother, Rhonda Richardson, Haven; brother, Marcus Richardson (Jami), Haven; sister, Julie Richardson (Tim Crow), Mulvane; nephew, Tavion Richardson, Mulvane; and grandmother, Sharon Richardson, Hutchinson.

He was preceded in death by: father, David Richardson; grandfather, John Richardson; and grandparents, Harold and Nellie Blocker.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Monday, June 14, 2021, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Haven. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday with the family present from 2 to 4 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to the Michael Richardson Memorial Fund to benefit his daughter, Phoenix, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
