Michael Andrew Humphrey, 59, died Aug. 11, 2015, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. He was born April 3, 1956, in Sidney, Neb., to Frederick and Blanche (Heinzman) Humphrey.
Michael was an avid Huskers fan, graduating from Sidney Senior High School in 1974. He was a butcher for National Beef in Liberal and later moved to Hutchinson, working for Warehouse Market, Food-4-Less and Frito-Lay for many years.
He married Jacqualyn Agan on Jan. 26, 1985. She survives. Other survivors include: sons, Jayme Humphrey and Jensen Moye; daughter, Jessica Humphrey; granddaughter, Tessa Moye, all of Hutchinson; sister, Dianna Brunns and husband Ray of Lodge Pole, Neb.; brother, Randall Humphrey and wife Wanda of Yukon, Okla.; aunts, Ilene Stewart of Basset, Neb., Francis Pierce of Las Cruces, N.M., Marie Humphrey of Sidney, Neb.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, Ronald and Frederick "Larry" Humphrey; and sisters, FayEtta Herman and Carolyn Good.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Larry Wedel presiding. A private family burial will take place at Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
