Michael Lee "Mike" Neuway, 48, died Dec. 18, 2012, at his home. He was born Aug. 14, 1964, in Hutchinson, the son of Robert Lee and Earlene Lavern Findley Neuway.
Mike was a 1983 graduate of Burrton High School, an avid cyclist, a member of CKCA Corvette Club and a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church. He was a Navy veteran, serving from 1988 to 1996, including a tour in Desert Storm. Mike was a business executive and owner of Pipeline Testing Consortium, National Compliance Management Service, American Medical Review Officers, Neuway Investments and Bluing Products, Inc.
On Aug. 14, 1990, he married Heather Dawn Manthey in Spokane, Wash. She survives. Mike was a devoted husband and loving father to his sons, Nicholas Lee and James Lee.
Also surviving is his mother, Earlene; a sister, Vergi and Lonnie Geurian, all of Hutchinson; father-in-law, Stephen and Monica Manthey of Seattle, Wash.; mother-in-law, Diane and Jim Fleener of Richland, Wash.; brother-in-law, Brian and Cara Manthey of Orting, Wash.; nieces and nephews, Brienna and Will Vincent, Rachel Geurian, Josh and Sara Geurian; and several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral service will be noon Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 105 Curtis, Hutchinson, Kan., with Pastors Tim Carey and Phil Vickers officiating. Burial with Navy Honors will be in Burrton Cemetery. Friends may sign his register from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday with family present 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary and also a visitation with family present will be 10 a.m. to service time Saturday at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Hutchinson.
