Michael Gerald "Mike" Smith, 70, died March 5, 2025, at his home in Hutchinson. He was born June 24, 1954, in Sterling, KS, to Fred Gerald and Arlene Thelma (Heldt) Smith.

Mike graduated from Sterling High School in 1974. He worked as a welder for Cessna, Hutchinson. Mike enjoyed bowling, playing pool and riding motorcycles.

He is survived by: his siblings, Cindy Morales of Lyons, Linda (Jesse) Stover of Sterling, Rodney Smith of Jonesboro, AR, Robert Smith and Timothy Smith, both of Hutchinson; and several nieces and nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by: his parents; sisters, Geraline Elliot, Pauline Capps, and Connie Hess.

Cremation has taken place. Burial will be held at a late date.
