Michael Lee Norris, 40, of Hutchinson, died March 16, 2020, at his home. He was born September 22, 1979, in Wichita, to Ronald and Nancy (Fales) Norris.

Michael graduated from Goddard High School in 1998 and earned his associates degree from LSU. He worked for many years as a retail manager for Wal-Mart. Michael loved gardening, cooking, family time, keeping up with his son, Brayden, and caring for his two cats. He attended Community Church of the Brethren, Hutchinson.

Michael is survived by: mother, Nancy Norris, Andover; girlfriend, Anna Hornbaker, Hutchinson; son, Brayden Norris, Hutchinson; son, Darrin Hollis, Powers, Oregon; and brothers, Troy Norris, Andover, and Logan Norris, Lawrence.

He was preceded in death by: father, Ron Norris; brother, Joseph Norris; and fiancée, Christina Reed.

Cremation has taken place.

A private family burial will take place at Pleasant View Cemetery, Darlow, Kansas. Given the current situation concerning COVID-19, a memorial service will be planned for a later date. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2020, through Friday, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
