Michael E. Schroeder, 56, died Dec. 9, 2006, at Hutchinson Hospital.
He was born March 7, 1950, in Larned, the son of Ted and Geraldine Hendershot Schroeder. In 1968, he graduated from Hutchinson High School, and later attended Hutchinson Community College. A lifetime Hutchinson resident, he was a delivery tech for Health Equip for 11 years.
He belonged to Park Place Christian Church, attended Friends Bible Church and was a member of Loyal Order of Moose No. 982. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
On Jan. 22, 1983, he married Sherry Lynn Hullet in Hutchinson. She survives.
Other survivors include: a daughter, Heather Lac Kamp and husband, Larry, Olathe; a brother, Jeff, Wichita; two sisters, Donna Bontrager and husband, Duane, Haven, and Barbara Carey and husband, Dennis, Hutchinson; four stepsisters, Marlene Warta and husband, Sam, Mesquite, Texas, Sue Thompson, Liberal, Nita Maley and husband, Doug, Mustang, Okla., and Terry Hatten, Florida; father and mother-in-law, Ed and Jean Hullet, Hutchinson; brother-in-law, Steve Hullet and wife, Nadine, Hutchinson; three grandchildren, Cody, Clint and Kembry Lac Kamp; a niece and nephew, Amanda and Bryce Hullet; and 27 others.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastors Gary Getting and Rick Goertzen presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, with family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. and from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum.
