Michael T. "Mike" Bennett, 54, died Dec. 22, 2015, at his home in Hutchinson. He was born July 3, 1961, in Hutchinson, the son of Gerald and Carolyn (Gum) Bennett.

Mike enjoyed gardening and loved animals. Mike is survived by: children, Brandon Bennett of Hutchinson, Amanda Richter and husband Brandon of Inman; seven grandchildren, Avah, Bryanna, Cierra, Olivia, Kayleonah, Raylgan, Jaycelyn; parents, Jerry and Carolyn Bennett of Hutchinson; sisters, Angie Enlow of Lyons, Darlene of Los Angeles, Calif., Cindy Barakeh; brother, Brian Bennett, both of Hutchinson; and former wife, Jeannie Everhart of Inman. He was preceded in death by: his grandparents, Dorothy Oeser, Hershel Gum, and Rosie and Glen Bennett.

Cremation has taken place. Private family graveside will take place in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. all this week at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
