Michael W. Wedel, 37, died April 21, 2007, at his home.
He was born July 15, 1969, in Hutchinson, the son of the Rev. Larry and Raelene M. Cox Wedel. He graduated from Central Christian High School in 1987, and attended Bethel College. A lifetime resident of Hutchinson, he worked at Tyson Foods, South Hutchinson.
He belonged to Corner Stone Baptist Church.
On Feb. 11, 1989, he married Dorthea Symonds in Hutchinson. She survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Sean, and Jordan, both of the home; a daughter, Kyleigh Wedel, of the home; his parents, Hutchinson; a sister, Christine Delgado, Hutchinson; his grandmother, Naomi Wedel, Lyons; and two nephews, Joshua Nachtigal, and Kyle Smith.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mike Wedel, Raymond and Neva Cox and his step-grandfather, Elmer Fenwick.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastors Larry W. Wedel and Terry Unruh presiding. Friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at the funeral home, with the family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Bean Cemetery, Little River.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the Gold Key Department at the Corner Stone Baptist Church, in care of the funeral home.
