Michelene S. Dye, 60, died Feb. 9, 2010, at Promise Regional Medical Center.
She was born April 29, 1949, to Jere and Dolores Jones Kemp.
She graduated from Bethel College in 1996, with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work and Drug and Alcohol Counseling.
A resident of Hutchinson for almost 20 years, she had been a social worker at Bob Johnson Youth Center and Victory Village.
Survivors include: companion, Vernon G. Bogner Jr.; her father, Jere Kemp, Houston; two sons: Keith Gardner, Stafford, and Braxton Beal, Houston; two daughters, Cynthia Blevins and husband Jarrod, Sayre, Okla., and Katherine Pate, Sayre, Okla.; three grandchildren: John and Rachel Ridlen and Trey Gardner; brother, John Stewart, Houston; and sister, Farrell Pate; stepsister, Alice Kemp, Houston.
She was preceded in death by her mother and grandparents.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thurs., Feb. 18, 2010, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Gary Harris officiating. Cremation has taken place. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today through Wednesday and 9 to service time Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.
