Mildred L. Brown's Obituary
Mildred L. Brown, 97, died Nov. 13, 2005, at Presbyterian Manor, Wichita.
She was born June 13, 1908, in Bushton, the daughter of George and Lily Guldner Mohney. She graduated from Bushton High School and attended Friends University, Wichita. A longtime resident of Hutchinson, she and her husband were owners and operators of the former Earl H. Brown Wholesale Co., Hutchinson.
She belonged to Park Place Christian Church, Soroptomist Club, Silver Leaf Chapter No. 464, Order of the Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile, all in Hutchinson.
In 1940, she married Earl H. Brown at Wichita. He died June 28, 1971.
Survivors include: a daughter, Margaret Kirkpatrick, Wichita; a granddaughter, Lanette Swindle and husband, Scott, Collinsville, Texas; and three great-grandchildren, Daniel, Lily Marie and Erik.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Mohney.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Park Place Christian Church Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Revs. Kim Biery and Rhonda Almond presiding. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson.
