Mildred Irene Brown, 88, of Hutchinson, passed away on February 8, 2023.  She was born June 20, 1934, in Pretty Prairie, KS, to William Jennings Bryan and Adah Catherine (Elliott) Lintecum.

Irene graduated from Nickerson Rural High School.  She retired from 1 ^st National Bank as well as Alexander's Jewelry.  She loved cooking, music, concerts, reading and was known as a people person.

She married Luther Robert Brown on September 19, 1953.  They had over 65 years of marriage before his passing in 2019.

Irene is survived by: sons, Jeff (MaryAnn) Brown of Haven, and Steve; sister, Betty Warner of Hutchinson; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters, and grandson Christopher Ryan Ogden.

The family will be present for a Memorial visitation for both Luther and Irene from 2 - 4 p.m. on Saturday February 18, 2023, at Elliott Mortuary.  Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
