Mildred M. "Millie" Unruh, 94, died Oct. 20, 2014, at Thorne Care Center, Hutchinson. She was born Nov. 5, 1919, in Mason City, Iowa, to John H. and Lyda (Lang) Jeffers.
Millie was a member of First Baptist Church. She was very active in church with playing the organ, piano, and singing in the choir. She worked in banking operations processing loan department paperwork.
On Dec. 6, 1937, she married Otto Phillip Unruh in Wichita. He died Oct. 15, 1995.
Millie is survived by: daughter, Marilyn Robertson and husband Robert of Huntsville, Ala.; son, James Unruh and wife Susie of Sterling; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Marlene Hodge.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 24, 2014, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Tyler Vance officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery, Roxbury, Kan. Friends may call 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.
