Mildred D. Moore, 86, of Hutchinson, formerly of Nickerson, died Dec. 14, 2009 at her home.
She was born June 11, 1923, at Beaver, Oklahoma, the daughter of John & Lulu Johnson Snyder.
She attended schools in Beaver, Okla. and Azie, Texas. She moved to Nickerson in 1944, from Calif., and to Hutchinson in 1996. She was a Dairy Cattle Tester for D.H.I.A. for 25 years. She was a member of the Salem Community Church of The Brethren, and was active in the Senior Citizens Center in Nickerson. She enjoyed quilt making.
She married J.W. Moore in April 1939 in Texas. He died Dec. 24, 1993.
Survivors include: two daughters, Joan Erickson and her husband Delbert, Atwood and Trucilla Corns, Santa Fe, N.M.; a sister Viola Harrington, Jasper, TX; two grandchildren, Marc Alan Fedo and Robin Michelle Babb; and four great grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 18, 2009 at Elliott Mortuary. Inurnment will be in the Wildmead Cemetery in Nickerson. Friends may sign a register book today 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and the family will greet friends this evening 7 to 8 p.m., all at Elliott Mortuary.
