Mildred E. Puls, 94, died Nov. 26, 2007, peacefully at her home, Hutchinson, leaving her loving earthly family on her journey to the Lord.
She was born Feb. 13, 1913, in Harvey County, the daughter of Edward H. and Rosa Clara Russell Kauth. In 1931, she graduated from Newton High School. She was a realtor with Don M. Stiles & Sons, retiring in 1982.
She belonged to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
On Oct. 20, 1940, she married Albert W. Puls, in Newton. He died Oct. 2, 1968.
Survivors include: four sons, Gary and wife, Linda, Wichita, Bill and wife, Linda, Wichita, Galen and wife, Susan, Albuquerque, N.M., and Randy and wife, Susan, Hutchinson; a sister, Marion Layden, Independence, Mo., six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Kauth; a sister, Bertha Selman; three stepbrothers, Richard, Russell and Donnie Altum; and a grandson, Raymond Puls.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Thomas B. Mendenhall presiding. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, at Elliott Mortuary.
Memorials may be sent to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, First Church of the Nazarene or Hospice Care of Kansas, in care of the funeral home.
