Millie R. Nelson's Obituary
ALDEN - Millie R. Nelson, 73, died March 8, 2008, at Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born April 14, 1934, in Carter Spur, the daughter of Frank Henry and Mable Fenwick Moore, Sr. A resident of Alden since 1976, moving from Sterling, she was a homemaker.
On April 14, 1956, she married Donald M. Nelson Sr. in Lyons. He survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Donald M. Jr., Alden; eight daughters, Debbie Davis, Lyons, Shirley Madden and Donna Darling, both of Alden, Tena Lawson, Hutchinson, Janet Temple, Bushton, and Bonnie Gillespie, Cindy Smith and Kristi Klein, all of Sterling; five brothers, Jim Moore, Sterling, John Moore and Zeke Moore, both of Alden, Robert Moore, Lyons, and Pat Moore, Hutchinson; five sisters, Elsie Critchfield and Minnie Myers, both of Alden, Helen Chism, Hutchinson, Myrtle Ladd, Kansas City, and Mattie Jones, Sterling; 18 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Becky Ann Nelson, a brother, Frank Moore Jr., and a grandson, Mikey Darling.
Cremation has taken place. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Alden Cemetery. Friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to the Millie R. Nelson Memorial Fund, in care of the mortuary.
