Milton Carroll Boyle, 76, died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011, at Halstead Homestead Assisted Living. He was born July 29, 1935, at Halstead, the son of M. Earnest and Irma Belle Goodman Boyle.
He was a 1953 graduate of Burrton High School and had attended Kansas State University and Texas Christian University. Milton was a member of Burrton United Methodist Church, Alpha Gamma Rho at KSU, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, a farmer and stockman and was also a commodities broker.
Survivors include: his children and spouses, Jeffery of Burrton, Julie and Clint Hamilton of Dallas, Texas; stepchildren, Jim Sinko and Angela Green, both of Wichita; a sister, Brenda and Steve Wilson of San Antonio, Texas; an aunt, Beverly Goodman of Topeka; uncle, Keith Goodman of Albuquerque, NM; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wives, Peggie Boyle and Joyce Boyle King.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011, at First Christian Church, Burrton, with Pastor Charles Kerr officiating. Burial will be in the Burrton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to First Christian Church or Hospice Care of Kansas, in care of the mortuary.
