Frank Lamont "Monty" Stout, 76, passed away October 11, 2025, at Hospice House in Hutchinson.  He was born June 23, 1949, to Donald and Patricia (Clough) Stout in Sterling, Kansas.

On March 11, 1978, Monty married Linda Motko.  They celebrated over 47 years of marriage.

Monty was working at Dillon's warehouse when he heard the road calling.  He attended Kansas City Driving School to become an "official" driver in 1972…not that he needed the piece of paper. He left Dillon's in 1978 to become an "outlaw" driver.  Monty drove over 8.5 million miles and became friends with many drivers from all across the United States.  He has now completed his final run.

Monty is survived by his: wife, Linda; children, Jacob Stout (Cat) of Hutchinson, Zachary Stout (Morgan) of Gardner, Monica Smiley (Todd) of Golden, MO, and two others from a previous marriage; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Sheri Stout and Peggy Thomas.

He was preceded in death his: parents; daughter, Joey Tatro; and grandson, Tucker Stout.

Cremation has taken place.

There will be a Celebration of Life: Come, Go, Stay-  to share memories of Monty on November 1, 2025, from  12 – 6pm at 4305 N Wilson Rd, Hutchinson KS. 67502.
