Morene Potter, 81, of Hutchinson, died March 17, 2011, at Promise Regional Medical Center in Hutchinson. She was born in Coldwater, the daughter of Lewis Michael and Agnes Belle Baldwin Seyfrit. She was a 1947 graduate of Hutchinson High School and a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church. She was a homemaker, school bus driver, commercial truck driver - all classes, and was very active as a volunteer assistant computer instructor at Delos V. Smith Senior Center in Hutchinson. She and her husband lived for many years in Virginia Beach, Virginia, while he was in the U.S. Navy until he retired. They moved to Hutchinson in 1994.

Married on Feb. 9, 1948, in Groton, Connecticut, she is survived by her husband, Robert A. Potter; sons, Robert A. Potter II, and Thomas Potter (Cynthia), all of Virginia Beach, Virginia, William Potter (Kristine), Loxahatchee, Florida, and James B. Potter (Renee), Bonney Lake, Washington; daughters, Victoria Ann Sefranek (George), Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Marjorie L. Casey (Clifford), Williamsburg, Virginia, and Mary L. Voll (William), Hilton, New York; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. The rosary will be recited at 6 p.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at Elliott Mortuary, with the family to greet friends following the service until 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 24, 2011, at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, with Fr. Nicholas Voelker presiding. Burial will be in McPherson City Cemetery, McPherson, following the Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to Delos V.
