Morris Fowler, 88, passed away Oct. 22, 2016, at Brookdale of Hutchinson. He was born Dec. 7, 1927, in Wyandotte, Oklahoma, the son of Milton and Gladys (Baucom) Fowler.

Morris entered the United States Navy in Jan. 1946 and was honorably discharged Nov. 1947. His career was spent as a maintenance supervisor at Carey Salt, Doskocil, and Winchester Packing Company. He retired from Reaction Engineering as an account manager. Morris was a member of Gideons International, volunteered for the Reno County Senior Patrol Program, and enjoyed coffee for over 15 years with his buddies at the Fourth Street McDonald's. He was a member of Crossroads Christian Church.

On July 19, 1952, he married Mary Ann Jones in Girard, Kansas. She died on Aug. 3, 2003. Survivors include his daughters and their families: Kathie and Randy Gee, Hutchinson, and their children, Allyson and Sebastian Caudillo, Inman, and Matthew and Katie Gee, Wichita; Vickie and Larry French, Humble, Texas, and their children, Melissa and Tom Grumble, Keller, Texas, and Teressa and Marty Karns, Douglass, Texas; six great-grandchildren, Sebastian Caudillo IV, Amelia Gee, Dylan, and Sydney Grumble, and Garrett, and Kolton Karns. He was preceded in death by: his parents; two brothers; and one sister.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Roger Neir officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, with military honors conducted by the United States Navy Honor Guard. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary.
