Murl Morgan, 91, died Sept. 22, 2006, at Thorne Care Center, Wesley Towers.
She was born Dec. 15, 1914, in Mammoth Springs, Ark., the daughter of Clarence and Nancy Abernathy. A longtime Hutchinson resident, she was a homemaker and owner and operator of Morgan Rides at Carey Park.
She belonged to Grace Christian Church.
On Oct. 14, 1933, she married Clarence Joseph Morgan in Hutchinson. He died April 8, 2003.
Survivors include: a grandson, Chad C. and wife, Vicki, Hutchinson; two granddaughters, Linda D. Kollhoff and husband, Mike, Hutchinson, and Kimberly K. Rogers and husband, Scott, Colorado Springs, Colo.; a daughter-in-law, Janice Morgan-Heim and husband, Joe, Hutchinson; and great-grandchildren, Adam and wife, Amanda Higgins, and Morgan Kollhoff, all of Hutchinson, and Chris McDonough and Brad McDonough, both of Colorado Springs, Colo.
She was preceded in death by a son, Stanley Vance Morgan; and two brothers, Boyd and Floyd Abernathy.
Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m.
Memorials may be sent to Hospice Care of Kansas or to Wesley Towers Good Samaritan Fund, both in care of the funeral home.
