Myra M. Daniel, 94, died Jan. 21, 2009, at Bickford Cottages, Lafayette, Ind.

She was born May 30, 1914, in Beaudry, Ark., the daughter of William and Maude Barnhart Thompson.

She graduated from high school in Hutchinson. A longtime Hutchinson and Haven resident, moving to Lafayette in 2005, she was a homemaker.

She belonged to United Church of Christ in Haven. She enjoyed sewing, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.

On Aug. 15, 1942, she married Reuben W. Daniel in Wichita. He survives.

Other survivors include: son, James R. and wife, Brenda, Lafayette, Ind.; daughter, Linda D. Shaver and husband, Steve, Wichita; grandchildren, Janice, Benjamin and Amanda Daniel, Anna Hines and Gabriel and Amy Shaver; and great-grandchildren, Michaella Godfrey, Tyler Bates and Madisyn Daniel.

She was preceded in death by her father; her mother, Maude Thompson Thomas; stepfather, William Thomas; sisters, Faye Benbrook, Helen Jackson and Ada Imel; and an infant brother, Francis Thompson.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Fairlawn Mausoleum, Hutchinson, with Pastor David Robertson presiding. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, Hutchinson. The family will greet friends prior to the service at Fairlawn Mausoleum.
