Myrna L. Robinson, 92, of Hutchinson, went peacefully into eternity with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on January 24, 2020, at Sunshine Meadows, Buhler. She was born August 3, 1927, in Plevna, to Charles and Katie (Green) Applegate.

Myrna graduated from Sylvia High School in 1945. She was a homemaker as her children grew, and then worked for 20 years as the assistant to the library director at Hutchinson Community College. Myrna collected dolls and dishes, sang, played organ, and volunteered as a librarian and greeter for her church. She was a member of Tenth Avenue United Methodist Church.

On November 24, 1948, Myrna married Russell James Robinson, in Hutchinson. They shared 55 years together, before he passed on October 31, 2002.

Myrna is survived by: sons, Steve Robinson (Beverly), Overland Park, Gary Robinson (Teresa), Buhler, and Mike Robinson (Debi), Olathe; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Russell Robinson; sister, Fay Brenn; and brothers, Gene and C.J. Applegate.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, January 30, 2020, at Elliott Mortuary, with Steve Robinson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time on Thursday. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary.
