Myron Krenzin, 88, died Aug. 16, 2007, at Dillon Living Center.
He was born Oct. 27, 1918, in Plevna, the son of Ernest Edward and Leah Oyer Krenzin. He attended Plevna High School for three years, and then graduated in 1941, from Hutchinson High School. He attended Hutchinson Community College. He was a dairyman, administrator and marketing specialist for the Kansas Wheat Commission serving for 18 years, and then was with the USDA Wheat Associates in the Holland office for four years.
He had served on the Reno County Food Bank and Planning boards.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a corporal with the 313 Bombardment Wing in the Pacific Theater.
On July 27, 1941, he married Janelle Rapp at her parents home. She survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Steven and wife, Cinda, Chanute; a daughter, Judy Krenzin, Renton, Wash.; a sister, Esther Wagler, Inman; two grandsons, Brian Krenzin and wife, Becky, Abilene, and Brent Krenzin and wife, Amy, Wellsville; and three great-grandsons, Tyler, Christopher and Conner.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Homer and Ernest Jr.; and a sister, Ina Krenzin.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at mortuary, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Private family burial will be held with military graveside rites conducted by the Fort Riley Honor Guard.
