N. Louise Kagarice, 94, died July 31, 2014, at Mennonite Friendship Communities. She was born on July 17, 1920, to Clyde F. and Clara (Mitchell) DeGarmo in Macksville, Kan.

Louise graduated from Macksville High school in 1937. She married Leo Kagarice on Sept. 23, 1941, in Hutchinson, Kan. He died Jan. 22, 1989.

Louise was a school cook in Partridge for many years and later at Liberty Middle School in Hutchinson. She was a member of Castleton Union Church, where she was very involved in church functions, helping where needed.

Survivors include: daughter, Clydene Sigle and husband Red of Sylvan Grove, Kan.; son, Vern L. Kagarice and wife Jan of Denton, Texas; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Harry DeGarmo and wife Shelia of Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 10 brothers; and three sisters.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday through Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
