N. Jean Schultz, 78, died Feb. 14, 2006, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.
She was born Nov. 19, 1927, in Protection, the daughter of Jacob and Stella Baker Zimmerman. She was a 1945 graduate of Protection High School. A resident of Hutchinson for 101/2 years, moving from Coldwater, she was a retired cashier for Coldwater National Bank for 22 years.
She belonged to First Mennonite Church, where she was active in the Sewing Circle. She made quilts for the Mennonite Central Committee Relief Sale for 25 years.
On Nov. 30, 1945, she married Eldon A. Schultz in Protection. He survives.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Patricia Wedel, Wichita, Pamela Thomas and husband, Gary, Tulsa, Okla., and Phyllis McNickle, Flagstaff, Ariz.; three sisters, Mary Willems and Bernice Bayne, both of Protection, and Wilma Willems, Craig, Colo.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Mennonite Church, Hutchinson, with Pastors Debbie Schmidt and Miles Reimer presiding. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. The casket will remain closed. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel's Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson.
