Obituary

Nadine Redinger, 91, of Hutchinson, died April 1, 2012, at Hospice House in Hutchinson.

Nadine was born Dec. 7, 1920, in Holdenville, Okla., the daughter of William DeOlna and Harriet Elizabeth Martin Norris.

She grew up in and attended school in Liberal, where she graduated from Liberal High School in 1938. She graduated from Salt City Business College in 1939. She worked for Western Food Products for 68 years, retiring at the age of 89. Nadine was a member of First Christian Church in Hutchinson.

She married Rowland Charlie Redinger on May 1, 1944, in Hutchinson. He died Dec. 27, 2005.

Survivors include: two daughters, Loa Ann Gibson, and Renee Retterer and husband Rick, all of Hutchinson; two granddaughters, Shelly Allan, and Lora Ryan and husband Dennis, all of Hutchinson; five great-grandchildren, Ryan Allan and wife Elizabeth, Josh Allan, Kirsten Allan, K.J. Ryan, all of Hutchinson, and Cody Beaton, Wichita; three great-great-granddaughters, Alyssa and Kayleeann Allan, South Carolina, and Journey Faith Allan, Hutchinson; three beloved sisters-in-law; a brother-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Nadine was preceded in death by her parents and stepmother; two brothers, Keith and Kreston Norris, and two sisters, Blanche Ingland and Nila Showalter.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday, April 4, 2012, and the family will greet friends 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, all at Elliott Mortuary. Cremation will follow and a private family graveside inurnment will occur later at Fairlawn Burial Park.
