CASSVILLE, Mo. - Neal L. Skinner, 83, died Jan. 2, 2007, at Monett Hospital.
He was born March 23, 1923, in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Myron and Frances Jensen Skinner. A longtime Hutchinson resident before moving to Cassville, Mo., he was retired from Doskocil and owned and operated Neal's Heating and Air.
He belonged to First Church of the Nazarene. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II.
On June 28, 1947, he married Ruth Ransom in Wichita. She died March 30, 2003.
Survivors include: a son, Don Skinner and wife, Sue, Cassville, Mo.; a brother, Lyle Skinner and wife, Donna, Hutchinson; two grandchildren, Cary Skinner and Chris Crane; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Shannon Skinner, two brothers, Keith and Verlyn; and two sisters, Fern and Hazel.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Visitation is from 9 to 9 p.m. Friday, with family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson. Graveside honors will be conducted by Fort Riley Honor Guard.
