Neola D. Vogts, 80, died June 5, 2007, at Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born on June 21, 1926, in Plainville, the daughter of Leo and Clio Hazel Bessey Westhusin. She was a resident of Hutchinson since 1964, moving here from Pratt. She attended Codell High School graduating in 1944. She retired from Eaton Corp. assembly line in 1990 after 20 years. She also co-owned and operated the Pizza Hut in Pratt for four years.
She belonged to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hutchinson, and also VFW Bob Campbell Post No. 1361 Auxiliary.
On June 5, 1964, she married Norman H. Vogts in Hutchinson. He survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Edmond "Eddie" Jordan, Colby, and Dean Jordan and his wife, Anita, St. Petersburg, Fla.; a daughter, Pamela Kay "Pam" Lyle and her husband, Buck, Hutchinson; a brother, Daryl Westhusin, Wichita; a sister, Madonna Post, Wichita; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Leo Westhusin, and Dallas Westhusin; one sister, Leola Sprinkle; and daughter-in-law, Norma Jordan in January of 2007.
Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with the Rev. Thomas Mendenhall presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Elliott Mortuary. Private family inurnment will be at Emanuel Church Cemetery, Canton, at a later date.
