Neva D. Darling, 94, died July 14, 2014, at her home in Hutchinson. She was born June 13, 1920, in Randall, Kan., to Henry and Iris (Cooper) Zimmer.

Neva was a long time member of Sweet Adeline's. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, member of Duo Sunday School Class, and a liturgist. During WWII, she worked for Boeing in California and drew blue prints. On Feb. 27, 1941, she married Donald J. Darling in San Gabriel, Calif. He preceded her in death on Nov. 6, 1998.

Neva is survived by children, Jayne Urban and husband Richard of Sugarland, Texas, Richard Darling of Hutchinson, Mary Noyse of Houston, Texas, Susan Darling and husband Dave of Seattle, Wash.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ray Zimmer; and a grandson, Jason Brower.

Cremation has taken place. A private family inurnment will take place in Randall Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church or to the donor's choice, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
