Noah S. Headings, 88, died Sept. 16, 2006, at Dillon Living Center, Hutchinson.
He was born Oct. 4, 1917, in rural Reno County, the son of Samual J. and Sarah Borntrager Headings. A resident of Hutchinson since 2003, moving from Hesston, where he had lived since 1990, he was a retired custodian for Master Machine Tools and a farm laborer.
He belonged to Golden Plains Free Methodist Church, Newton. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
On April 3, 1955, he married Thelma Ruth Larrance in Hutchinson. She survives.
Other survivors include: a sister, Mary Culbert, Hutchinson; four grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Noleta Kay Delehoy; a brother, Bill Headings; and a sister, Martha Carr.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, with military graveside rites conducted by the Fort Riley Honor Guard.
