RESTON, Va. - Norma L. Barnett, 66, of Reston, Virginia, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sept. 25, 2011, in Reston, Virginia.

She was born Jan. 16, 1945, in Arlington, the daughter of Ralph and Louise Delventhal Barnett.

Norma graduated from Arlington High School and started her career in Law Enforcement as a Deputy Sheriff in Reno County. She moved to Northern Virginia and became a Contract Administrator for Booz, Allen & Hamilton for over 30 years. Norma was a true giver in every way. Despite her health, Norma not only took care of her parents, but also many family members and friends, often requiring her to move. Norma always put everyone first and loved her family more than anything. She is very loved and will be deeply missed.

Norma is survived by a brother, Ronn L. Barnett, Fort Valley, Virginia; nieces and nephews, Rhonda (Keith) Underwood, Tony (Leanne) Gable, Jennifer (Rich) Luther, Greg (Robyn) Sazonov, Heather (Jon) Kayes, Lindsay (Mike) Feaster, Kelly (Charlie) McMahon, and Ryan (Stephanie) Barnett; and great-nieces and nephews, Dena (Jon), Abby, Ashley, Emma, Gretta, Natalie, Athea, Jessica, Aiden, Sean, Brett, and Ty.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Phyllis J. (Barnett) Gabel.

A visitation was held at Adams-Green Funeral Home, Herndon, Virginia on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery. A visitation will be Saturday, 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
