Jeannine Jones, 78, died April 7, 2009, at Mennonite Manor, South Hutchinson.

She was born May 29, 1930, in Pratt, the daughter of Chester A. and Ada Woodward Kendall. She was a 1948 graduate of Haviland High School. A resident of Hutchinson, moving from Great Bend several years ago, she was a homemaker.

She belonged to First Christian Church, Great Bend, and had previously attended Park Place Christian Church, Hutchinson. She grew up attending the Friends Church in Haviland.

On Feb. 19, 1950, she married Carl Vernon Jones in Haviland. He died Aug. 4, 1995.

Survivors include: son, Reg, Hutchinson; brother, Dean Kendall, Haviland; grandson, Tyler Jones, Wichita; and granddaughter, Brecken Jones, Manhattan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Don Kendall; and three sisters, Wilma Harmon, Beth Hillman and Pauline Owens.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April, 11, 2009, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with Pastor Todd Schlosser presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial will be in Lerado Cemetery.
