Norma Lorraine Ebert Vickers, 96, of Hutchinson, died February 27, 2019, at Thorne Care Center, Hutchinson. She was born May 28, 1922, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, to Edison B. and Flossie M. (Shook) Ebert.

Norma graduated from Blackwell High School in 1940 and Wichita Business College in August 1941. She was a secretary for an insurance company and a tool company during World War II. Norma was also a homemaker and hostess at Rambler Steakhouse. She enjoyed playing bridge. Norma was a member of First Congregational Church and the Women's Fellowship.

Norma met Don C. Vickers in Wichita and they were married February 26, 1946, at First Presbyterian Church Chapel in Wichita. They were married after Don returned from Europe, where he served during World War II. Don died January 29, 1977.

Norma is survived by: daughter, Susan Allam and husband W.R. 'Dub' of Hutchinson; son, Steven Vickers of Madison, WI; grandchildren, Lindsay Powell and husband Josh of Hutchinson, Court Allam of Olathe; great-grandchildren, Alissa Powell, Landyn Powell, Brady Allam, Cooper Allam; and several nieces, nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; brothers, Derry and Bill; and sister, Bobbie.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at First Congregational Church, 3410 N. Plum, Hutchinson, with Pastor Matt Stafford officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary.
