Norma L. Wilkens, 91, of Hutchinson, died December 23, 2019, at Good Samaritan Society, Hutchinson. She was born November 24, 1928, in Ellinwood, to Herman and Clara (Meier) Sewing.

Norma graduated from Bushton High School in 1946. She was a homemaker and talented seamstress. Norma was a member of Westside Baptist Church.

On October 20, 1950, she married Harlan Wilkens in Lyons. They shared 69 years of marriage.

Norma is survived by: husband, Harlan Wilkens, Hutchinson; son, Greg Wilkens (Marilyn), Hutchinson; daughter, Kay Wickham (Greg), Andover; grandchildren, Andrew Wickham (Leah), Cari Smothermon (Wes), Lynette Wilkens, all of Wichita, Denise Nisly (Tony), Hutchinson; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Howard Sewing.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, December 30, 2019, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with Pastor Tim Adrian officiating. Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday at Lorraine Baptist Cemetery, Lorraine, KS. Friends may sign the book from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday at Elliott Mortuary.
