Norman Jess Feldman, 85, died November 26, 2015, at Pleasant View Home, Inman. He was born June 2, 1930, in Lyons, to Jess H. and Ida S. (Lippoldt) Feldman. Norman graduated from Lyons High School, and attended technical college. He joined the United States Navy in 1951 and served until 1955. Norman worked for Hartman and Mega Manufacturing as a machinist. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. Norman enjoyed boating, traveling, and hunting, but his greatest love was being raised on the Feldman family farm.
On July 16, 1950, he married JoAnn Rife in Lyons. She died October 16, 2014.
Norman is survived by: children, Vickey Jackson (Bill) of Hutchinson, Jan Shorter (Larry) of Goddard, Ginny Feldman of Lyons, Jerry Feldman (Brenda) of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Jason Jackson (Tara), Jennifer Jackson, Jessica Sramek (Carey), Jessica Schoenhofer (Brad), Jacklyn Betteridge (Paul), Erick Shorter (Kat), Joshua Shorter (Karyn), Katlyn Shorter; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and five sisters.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at First Church of the Nazarene, 43rd and Monroe, Hutchinson, with Pastors Kent Pedersen and Bones Nay officiating. Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2015, in Lyons Municipal Cemetery, Lyons, with military graveside honors being conducted by the United States Navy Honor Guard.
