Norman L. Stout Jr., 84, died April 29, 2016, at his home in Hutchinson. He was born Feb. 5, 1932, in Colorado Springs, Colo., to Norman Sr. and Hope (Lesser) Stout.
Norman graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1951, and then enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served as a Metal Smith 2nd Class until his honorable discharge in 1955. After his service to our country, Norman worked for Superior Boiler Works as a boilermaker until his retirement. He also had a passion for cars; rebuilding them and showing them in parades.
On March 19, 1954, he married Shirley J. Jenkins in Wichita. She died March 13, 1992. Norman is survived by: son, David and wife Susanna of Hutchinson; daughter, Vicki Lampros and husband Peter of Spring, Texas; grandsons, Jackson, Louis, and William Moran; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday, with the family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary.
