Obituary

Nyle D. Heller, 94, of Hutchinson, died June 10, 2012, at his daughter's home in Cassoday, Kan.

He was born Aug. 18, 1917, at Bluff City, Kan., the son of Lloyd Percy and Mary Estes Heller.

Nyle was retired and self-employed, he sold services and equipment to car dealers and service stations. He was a member of Park Place Christian Church and Hutchinson-Reno Masonic Lodge #124 AF & AM and he served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

On June 30, 1942, he married Ruth Charlene Howell in Hutchinson. She died Feb. 23, 1998.

Survivors include: sons, Jon Heller of Stillwell, Okla., Carlton "Corky" Heller and his wife Lori of Emporia; daughter, Cheri Urban and her husband Steve of Cassoday; brother, Richard Heller and his wife Jo of Hutchinson; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; a daughter-in-law, Cathy Heller; and brother, Russell Heller.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Elliott Chapel, with Reverend Dr. Kim Biery officiating. Burial will be in Burrton Cemetery, Burrton, Kan. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Elliott Mortuary. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at the Elliott Chapel. Masonic Rites will be conducted by the Hutchinson-Reno Masonic Lodge #124. Military graveside honors will be conducted by the Fort Riley Honor Guard.
