Anderson
April 7, 1919 – November 21, 2018
Aileen graduated from Mount Hope High School in 1937 and attended Friends University, Wichita. She enjoyed watching KU basketball and decorating. Aileen was a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Hutchinson, and active in the United Methodist Women, holding numerous positions at both the local, district, and conference level.
On April 27, 1940, she married William Clark Anderson in Mount Hope. He died April 23, 2006, just four days shy of their 66 th wedding anniversary. Aileen is survived by: son, T. Jeffrey Anderson and wife Rogene of Lawrence; daughters, T. Jan Dwyer and husband Ed, C. Joan Strano, Jill Foss and husband Doug, all of Hutchinson; sister-in-law, Pat Kissick of Mount Hope; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by: her parents; sister, Joan Grimsman; brother, Jim Kissick; son-in-law, Dick Strano; and grandson, Cory Clark Stenholm.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 3, 2018, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1602 N. Main, Hutchinson, with the Reverend Dr. Kim Biery officiating. Private family inurnment will take place in Mount Hope Cemetery. Friends may sign the book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wesley Towers Good Samaritan Fund or Trinity United Methodist Church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
