Odessa J. Sasse's Obituary
Odessa J. Sasse, 78, died Jan. 9, 2007, at Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born Nov. 21, 1928, in rural Smith County, the daughter of Wilhelm and Elsbeth Kirchhoff. A resident of Hutchinson since 1986, moving from Gaylord, she was a homemaker and worked part time for TECH.
She belonged to Emanuel Lutheran Church and various church groups.
On Dec. 1, 1950, she married Maynard A. Sasse in Athol. He died Oct. 24, 2001.
Survivors include: two sons, Ivan, Gaylord and Myron, Hutchinson; two daughters, Brenda Lansdown and Beverly Stucky, both of Hutchinson; a brother, Eugene Kirchhoff, Smith Center; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Hutchinson, with Pastors Tim Carey and Loren Mai officiating. Visitation is from noon until 9 p.m. Wednesday, with family to receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Penwell Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to the church or Hospice of Reno County in care of the funeral home.
