Linda Alma Bell, 88, died Sept. 28, 2014, at Dillon Living Center, Hutchinson. She was born April 26, 1926, to Emanuel and Henritta Christina (Stoller) Bertsch in Freeman, SD.
Linda was a homemaker. Some of her favorite things to do were gardening and canning. She loved music, playing the piano and spending time with her family. She was of the Lutheran faith and was confirmed in the Lutheran church in Freeman, SD.
She married her best friend, Charles LeRoy Bell on May 6, 1967, in Cherokee, IA. He survives. Other survivors include: daughters, Veronica Timmerman of Cherokee, Iowa, Deloris Brown and husband Gary of Blue Eye, Mo., and Betty Harrison and husband Bob of Ponchatoula, La.; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a great great-grandson. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruby Colvert and two sons-in-law, Jerry Colvert and Larry Timmerman.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2014, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Jim Rhaesa presiding. Burial will follow in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday with the family to receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.
