Oma Jean Hearlson, 76, died July 7, 2011 in Hutchinson. She was born October 24, 1934 in Offerle, Kansas to Edmund Albert and Laura Amelia Kurth Boehme.
Oma graduated from Offerle High School in 1951 and attended Friends University. She retired from Southwestern Bell and worked at Hutchinson Correctional Facility. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the White Shrine. She was a life member of VFW.
On November 24, 1989 she married Donald Ray Hearlson. He survives.
Other survivors include children: David James Reece and wife Donna, Woodbridge, WV, Deborah Jean Lemen and husband Dennis, Winston Salem, NC, Dwayne Carl Reece, Hilo, HI, and Dennis Alan Reece and wife Susan, Phoenix, AZ; two sisters, Laurine Proberts and husband Floyd, Offerle and Ada N. Keller, Pratt; 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ernie Boehme.
Funeral service will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Elliott Chapel with Pastor Tim-Ault Duell officiating. Graveside service will be 3:00 pm Wednesday at Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt with Pastor Stan Hendershot officiating. Visitation will be 9-9 Tuesday with the family present from 6-7 at Elliott Mortuary.
