Obituary

INMAN - Opal Jane Davenport Totten, 72, died Nov. 25, 2012. She was born March 28, 1940, at Millerton, Okla., the daughter of Ernest and Effie Mae (French) Ford.

She was a homemaker and had worked part time for Cutsinger Frame Work, Inman.

On March 7, 1959, she was united in marriage with Ray "Bud" Davenport Jr. He died May 15, 2001.

Then on June 8, 2012, she married John Totten. He survives.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Vicki and Rusty Johnson of Inman, Deb Friesen of McPherson; a son, Bill and Marcy Davenport of McPherson; stepson, Mitch Totten of Wichita; a sister, Ester Estep of Lubbock, Texas; three sisters-in-law, Donna and Paul Netters of Oklahoma City, Pauline Ford of Hot Springs, Ark., Gloria King of Hutchinson; six grandchildren, Jesse Friesen and his fiancee Katy Matej, Austin Johnson, Eric and Kristin Friesen, Lexie and Jed Gunn, Megan and Taylor Werts, Seth Davenport; two step-granddaughters, Landrie and Adina Totten; five great-grandchildren, Hayley, Chloe, Kynlea, Violet and Chane. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, William and Johnny Ford; and a brother-in-law, Bill Estep.

A celebration of her life will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Matt Stafford officiating. Cremation has taken place, with private family interment at North Inman Cemetery. Friends may sign her memorial book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Victory in the Valley, Cancer Council of Reno County or Inman Fire Department, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
