Orlean K. Neufeld, 89, died October 8, 2009, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born December 9, 1919, in Okeene, OK the daughter of Fred and Esther Herbel Geis. She was graduate of Durham High School. A Hutchinson resident since 1940 moving from Durham, KS, she was a homemaker and a member of First Congregational Church.
On December 6, 1946 she married Abe S. Neufeld in Hutchinson. He died October 28, 1993.
Survivors include; a daughter, Ona Jenkins and husband Buzz of Fairview, TX, a brother, Richard Geis of Hutchinson, two grandchildren, Troy Jenkins and wife Melissa of Grand Prairie, TX, Brandee Green and husband Nick of Denver, CO, and a great grandson Zachery Jenkins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter Margo Neufeld, two brothers and a sister.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday October 12, 2009 at Elliott Chapel with Pastor Matt Stafford presiding. Visitation will be 9- 9 Saturday and Sunday with family to receive friends from 3-5 pm Sunday at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
