Orpha was born November 12, 1926, to Peter and Barbara (Yoder) Wagler, and was raised on the family's farm near Partridge.
She attended Fairmount Grade School, and attended Hesston College. She also served with Mennonite Voluntary Service in Gulfport, Mississippi.
She married Harry L. Miller on August 28, 1949. Following their marriage, Orpha and Harry spent six months helping to build a church in Glen Flora, Wisconsin. They returned to Reno County in 1950 to the farm near Partridge where Orpha was born and raised. Together, Orpha and Harry raised their family and farmed there until retirement in 1997. Orpha was a member of the Cedar Crest Amish Mennonite Church, where, for many years, she taught women's Sunday School classes.
Surviving are: her children, Yvonne Miller, Leon (Holly) Miller, Jean Ann (Wesley) Schrock, Michael (Lois) Miller, Erlis (Gesine) Miller, and Arlyn (Loretta) Miller; and her grandchildren, Peter (Alesha) Miller, John (Jessica) Miller, Elizabeth (Michael) Linscheid, Catherine Miller, Sarah Miller, Michael Miller, Laura Miller, Alexander Miller, Daniel Miller, and Caroline Miller.
Orpha was preceded in death by: her husband, Harry; parents; sisters, Laura Miller, Mary and Martha Wagler (twin infants); brothers, Raymond Wagler, Willie Wagler, Mahlon Wagler, and stillborn infant.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 on Friday, January 19, and the funeral will be at 10:30 on Saturday, January 20, both at Cedar Crest Amish Mennonite Church.
