Obituary

Orval James "Rudy" Hoyt, 81, died June 27, 2013, at his home in Hutchinson. He was born May 24, 1932, in Ringwood, Oklahoma, to Glen and Golda (Percy) Hoyt. Orval served in the United States Navy and worked for the Hutchinson Fire Department for 30 years. On August 2, 1953, he married Beverly "Beb" Hall in Reno, Nevada. She died on May 4, 2002.

He is survived by: daughters, Glenna Sue West and husband Rick of Hutchinson, Vicki Lynn Hoyt and companion Douglass Ruiz of Hutchinson, and Coleen Elaine Cupp of Watonga, Oklahoma; adopted son, Ray Delehoy of Partridge; sister, Betty Luman of Hutchinson; 11 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Orval was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Merle, Eldon, and Cecil.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Betty Pinkston officiating. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday with family to receive from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Penwell Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 North Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
